Kyle McClary is a biochemist, software developer, and digital media producer who co-founded Microscape, a software company focused on enabling collaboration around 3D+ biomedical imaging data. His research, published in Science and Cell, focuses on modeling biochemical systems by integrating data from multiple experimental modalities using artificial intelligence and digital arts approaches. He has also produced and directed short films, video games, and virtual reality experiences that have been featured in The New Yorker and received awards from the Directors Guild of America and the Association of Medical Illustrators. His productions have debuted as official selections at more than twenty science, media, and film festivals, including South by Southwest and ARS Electronica. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Southern California and bachelor’s degrees in Biochemistry and Mathematics.
